I am a mosaic designer and maker, providing a bespoke service for private clients and also workshops for schools and individuals. Among these projects has been a kitchen for WILL SELF and DEBORAH ORR, a fragmented Roman-style mosaic floor for the landscape architect TODD LONGSTAFFE-GOWAN and a peace mosaic for ARCHBISHOP DESMOND TUTU.
I was introduced to the world of mosaic by EMMA BIGGS at the MOSAIC WORKSHOP but my art is the fruit of a varied creative background. I am fluent in Italian and German with a degree in Modern Languages from King's College in Cambridge and many years spent in Rome and Berlin. I am also a trained scenographer and was the resident set designer at WEBBER DOUGLAS ACADEMY OF DRAMATIC ART for 2 years.
I am a lover of detail and also of monumental-scale legacy. I am keen to demonstrate how mosaic can by imaginatively applied to create beauty even in the most uninspiring and unexpected settings .
